Jinxed
Disappointed

Though I myself identify as straight, I have never been anything but proud that my sorority is supportive and open to everyone, including the LGBT community. But when one or two of my sisters get offended that our campus recognizes that or that our president is happy and proud of it, there is something wrong. These women are our sisters. We love them unconditionally

Not to mention the fact that the few people who are upset are graduating seniors. You have two months left. Be proud of your sisters and proud of your sorority.

If you are going to join an organization full of women, some of whom you know to be LGBT, do NOT get upset when there is a story published saying how supportive the organization is of the LGBT community. Honestly, if you don’t want to be a part of that then you shouldn’t have joined in the first place. Because in all honesty you have made me feel unsafe in an organization that I used to feel was extremely supportive of me and my sexual orientation.
